Betty Belle (Gilvin) Reed

Betty Belle Reed, age 88 of Georgetown, Ohio and formerly of Russellville, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God in Russellville, Ohio. Betty was born December 21, 1935 in Fleming County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Dudley and Viola (Hunt) Gilvin. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband – James Reed in 1997, one son – Bobby Reed, two grandchildren – Joshua Reed and Melissa McCray, three brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Reed is survived by six children – Jimmy Reed and wife Lori of Russellville, Ohio, Cathy Hall of Florida, Larry Reed and wife Sharon of Blanchester, Ohio, Debbie Pugh and husband Sam of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Tammy Mers of Cincinnati, Ohio and Charles Reed and wife Liz of Mt.Orab, Ohio; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother – Johnny Gilvin and wife Melissa of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; two sisters – Linda Bussell and Bonnie Dailey both of Flemingsburg, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Kevin Hickerson will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.  Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Linwood Cemetery in Russellville, Ohio.
