Arthur Wayne Triplett

Arthur Wayne Triplett, age 77 of West Portsmouth, Ohio died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Triplett was a steel worker for Detroit Steel and then retired from the New Boston Coke Corporation. He was a Korean War Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #23 in Portsmouth, Ohio. Mr. Triplett was born on August 22, 1929 in Carter County, Kentucky the son of the late Robert Glenn and Elra (Dillon) Triplett. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jane Ann (Geyer) Triplett, five brothers, Robert, Joseph, Donald, Norm and Elbert Triplett and two sisters, Jean Gifford and Betty Bowling.

Mr. Triplett is survived by two sons - Steven W. Triplett and wife Margaret of Georgetown, Ohio and Joseph Jay Triplett and wife Stephanie of Waverly, Ohio; four grandchildren - Zach, Rachel, Alexander and Abigail Triplett and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 5 - 7 P.M. Friday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., with visitation from 1-2 P.M., Saturday November 25, 2006 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home, 1310 Third Street, West Portsmouth, Ohio. Interment will be in the McKendree Cemetery in Buena Vista, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Ohio Veterans Home, 2003 Veterans Boulevard, Georgetown, Ohio 45121.
