Archie L. Smith

Archie L. Smith, age 81, of Higginsport, Ohio died Sunday, October 23, 2005 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Smith was a Welder and a World War II Army veteran. He was born in Letcher County, Kentucky on March 30, 1924 the son of the late Ralph and Cordelia (Mullins) Smith. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Regina Smith, one son, Archie E. Smith and one sister, Lora Dunn.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife - Florence (Turner) Smith; three daughters - Fern Moore of West Union, Ohio, Ann of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Johnnie Lynn Frater of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sons - John Smith of Higginsport, Ohio and Sgt. Christopher Shane Smith of Seattle, Washington; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Following cremation, private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. There will be no visitation.
